Con el aporte de la Municipalidad de Villa María del Triunfo, UNACEM, Comité Cívico y otros actores locales se construyó las nuevas instalaciones del Departamento de Emergencias Sur 2, la cual albergará hasta 120 nuevos miembros.

Esta obra fue gestionada por el DEPEME Sur 2 y contó con el apoyo de la Municipalidad de VMT, Unión Andina de Cementos – UNACEM (470 bolsas de cemento donadas), el Comité Cívico entre otros actores locales.
Cabe mencionar que esta unidad policial recibió el premio como mejor DEPEME de Lima Metropolitana en el 2016, por haber contenido y minimizado la incidencia delictiva en Lima Sur. Lograron desarticular 281 bandas delictivas, detuvieron a 2,675 personas por fragante delito y a 616 requisitoriados, 67 armas de fuego fueron incautadas, 95 vehículos recuperados, entre otros logros.
